You can brainstorm ideas and you can build robots.
Or you can code with Java, or use graphic design or video skills to market your team (and impress judges at competitions).
There are awards for all types of things!
There are lots of friends to meet, things to learn, and skills to tackle.
-And parents, there's lots of scholarships available also.
The entire FIRST program is known worldwide for being a great first step into the world of technology, teamwork, and creation.
The organization provides a great framework for adult mentors and student team members to work together to make amazing things happen.
Teams of 10-15 students work to make the machines, to program the action, and to document the progress.
Students also create meaningful Outreach Programs to help educate the community around them about all types of ideas related to STEM, engineering, technology, and other issues.
We welcome all interested students!
FTC has members from 7th-12th grade.

Please Note: We are approaching team capacity for the 24/25 season. If there is enough interest, we may consider hosting a record 4th team within our program. However, additional parent help and mentors would be needed even more than usual.
Each year's challenge is different.
New themes, rules, parts, goals, point-scoring opportunities, and more.
This year's CenterStage seems to have a zillion scoring options and builders will be challenged to focus on which capabilities to work with for the highest scores.
We believe that girls and women need to have a greater role in the STEM worlds. We want to contribute to the cause with our work and our time. To do this, we have partnered with FIRSTLikeAGirl to help spread the opportunities of FIRST and the larger STEM world of careers and education. All 3 teams love this group!
This program was educational and valuable for anyone looking at a STEM career in the future, girl or boy. We enjoyed all of the helpful ideas offered by our group of professional women in STEM roles of all types. Come back next winter for another great event for Women In STEM.
We are FTC Power Robotics, part of the FIRST Robotics Program at South River HS, dedicated to building & coding robots and offering community & STEM events.
We LOVE to laugh, to play, to teach, to share. And we LOVE the FTC Robotics program each year!
Your support and contributions will enable us to spread STEM and the great FIRST programs throughout the area. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
